New Design!
This new design is inspired by the classic beauty of Audrey Hepburn. The dress that she wore in Funny Face is a timeless classic that's been screaming at me since i started making wedding dresses.
My own take on this timeless design features a boat (or slash) neck line, a full circle skirt and a 3 later black petticoat. The little belt featured in these photos is borrowed from the dress that Louise wore in her photo shoot and i'll be making a more extravagant version for the official photos of this dress. It shows how versatile the pettis, sashes, corsages and belts can be on Lizzie Jayne dresses. The back of this dress drops to a V at the bottom of the shoulder blades.

:) If I could I'd have one in Red with a black sash, black with a white sash, deep deep purple with cream sash :) Sigh I love your dresses. This one is second to my wedding dress :)
ReplyDeleteI've had so much interest in your dress recently Edith. I managed to find someone that will supply me with a really similar (but not exactly the same) fabric. Looks like your dress is going to inspire a permanent addition to the collection!
