June in Broderie Anglais with Corsage

It's lovely to be able to get creative with my designs, and when this bride asked me to make her dress that's exactly what she allowed me to be. She loved Ediths broderie anglais dress in the June style, and knew that she wanted to combine blues and yellows into her day, but other than that she has happy for me to get creative with the rest. So this is what we came up with.

This dress is the June style made from white broderie anglais, with a 3 layer white petticoat. The petticoat has ribbon trim made from the same fabric as the belt. The belt is a result of my collaboration with the amazing Fran at Fancy Freckle, she replicated the flowers from the broderie anglais with blue, clear and white crystals and created more stunning flowers with tulle and chiffon. The silk for the belt is a non-standard colour.

I'm thrilled with how this dress has turned out, the blue and white petticoat is the perfect match the the blue and white sash. It's also the first time i've worked directly with Fran and this is definitely a partnership that is for keeps.

As we speak this dress is on a plane somewhere on its way to Canada. But don't worry, this isn't the last you'll see of this brides dress as she also ordered a full set of yellow and white bouquets which i'll feature on the blog next week.
